MSCHF BARBIE HOUSE
Year: 2023 · collab with Davide Di Lernia · Material: Cardboard
Conceived as a collectible installation inspired by the iconic Barbie universe, this project transforms a pair of custom MSCHF Boots into the centerpiece of a handcrafted sculptural environment.
The entire structure has been realized using layered cardboard construction, painted in white and pastel pink tones and designed to recreate the aesthetic of a surreal Barbie house. The interior has been fully lined in pink velvet, creating a soft contrast with the architectural geometry of the exterior while enhancing the presentation of the boots.
At the center of the installation, the MSCHF Boots customized by Davide Di Lernia feature a fully pink finish and personalized plaques developed specifically for the project, blending collectible fashion with pop culture references. The house itself was entirely designed and handcrafted by Leonardo Canton Design, maintaining visible layered cardboard details to emphasize the artisanal construction process. An integrated upper handle, inspired by vintage dollhouses and toy packaging, allows the entire structure to be transported like a collectible object.
Balancing nostalgia, fashion, and sculptural design, the project exists as a one-of-one display piece where childhood aesthetics meet contemporary customization culture.
