CARDBOARD MASTERBALL

Conceived and designed exclusively for the musical studio of @charliecharles, this project reinterprets the iconic Pokémon universe through a handcrafted collectible object blending design, craftsmanship, and pop culture.

Inspired by the legendary Master Ball, the structure has been entirely developed using layered cardboard construction combined with custom 3D-printed elements, creating a sculptural piece with a strong visual identity and a highly engineered opening mechanism. The sphere is designed to open perfectly in half, revealing a pair of one-of-one custom sneakers inspired by Miraidon. The shoes were hand-painted and customized by artist Davide Di Lernia, combining futuristic textures, vibrant details, and references to the aesthetic language of the Pokémon.

The outer shell integrates a custom lighting system and internal structural reinforcements, while the entire project has been assembled with extreme attention to detail, balancing lightweight materials with monumental proportions. The piece measures approximately 75 cm in height when opened and 60 cm when closed, transforming from collectible object into immersive display installation.

A project where nostalgia, craftsmanship, and contemporary design merge into a unique statement piece.
