DURO CARDBOARD JERSEY

A wearable jersey created for the 2024 Winter PDF Channel runway show in Milan, entirely constructed from layered 4 mm cardboard and transformed into a rigid sculptural garment.

The piece was coated with a special eco-based mortar treatment that dramatically increased the material’s resistance, allowing cardboard to behave almost like a solid architectural surface while maintaining its layered identity. Several graphic elements were developed in extrusion directly on the structure, including the “DURO AS FUCK” lettering, the number 93, the PDF logo and the Madonnina of the Duomo di Milano placed on the back.

To complete the piece, the surface was treated with special waxes that created an irregular and heavily nuanced finish, giving the object a worn, almost mineral appearance.

Blending fashion, sculpture and industrial experimentation, the DURO CARDBOARD JERSEY transforms an everyday fragile material into a durable and wearable statement piece.
