KATANA COVER

Year: 2025 · 1 of 1 for Capo Plaza · committed by Plaza music · Material: 3D printed

A 1 OF 1 microphone cover created for Capo Plaza for his live performance at the Forum, inspired by the handle of a traditional katana and reinterpreted through a futuristic design language.

The piece was entirely developed through 3D powder printing, allowing the creation of complex details and sculptural textures impossible to achieve with traditional manufacturing techniques. Once printed, the surface was finished with a chrome lacquer treatment, giving the object a reflective metallic appearance that enhances every line and engraving under stage lighting.

The wrapped handle texture references the classic grip of Japanese swords, while custom graphic details and symbols were integrated into the lower section to reinforce the object’s identity and connection to Capo Plaza’s visual world.

Designed as both a functional stage accessory and a collectible sculpture, the KATANA COVER merges music, performance and industrial design into a single iconic object.
